Who is responsible for your data

The website kilgatedoors.com is run by Krzysztof Olejnik, trading as WebsiteOK (websiteok.ie), a sole trader registered in Spain, NIF ESZ3912795V, Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. He is the data controller for what you send us here. Contact: info@kilgatedoors.com.

Doors are surveyed, quoted and fitted by our installation partner Modern Style Home, 28 Hazel Court, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, F31 HH00 (SEAI contractor ID 19913). When you send an enquiry, we pass it to them so they can price and fit your door. For that work they are a separate controller.

What we collect and why

Enquiry form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, your message and the door configuration you built. We use it to answer you, arrange a measurement and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

WhatsApp: if you write to us on WhatsApp, the conversation runs on WhatsApp's infrastructure under Meta's terms. We see your number and what you send.

Server logs: our hosting provider records the IP address and page requested for security and to stop abuse. The enquiry endpoint also counts requests per IP address for a few minutes to block spam. None of this is kept beyond the hosting provider's standard short retention.

Statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They count page views and measure loading speed without cookies and without identifying you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works (Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and local storage

Right now the site sets no tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps your cookie choice and small conveniences such as the configurator's last settings. That storage never leaves your device.

If we add marketing tools such as the Meta Pixel or Google Ads conversion tracking, they will load only after you accept them in the banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Rejecting costs you nothing: the site works the same.

Who else sees your data

Modern Style Home (installation partner, Ireland); our email provider, which delivers the enquiry and your confirmation copy; Vercel, which hosts the site; and Meta, if you contact us on WhatsApp. Vercel and Meta may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your data and we do not send it to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. If you order a door, the order and invoice records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Write to info@kilgatedoors.com and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie), the Spanish AEPD (aepd.es), where the controller is established, or the authority in the country where you live.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, such as adding marketing cookies, will also show up in the banner.
